To get a sense of the weight of attention that luxury goods attract on social media, I chose a popular Chinese social media app, Little Red Book (xiaohongshu), and recorded the posts I clicked on and viewed over a two-day period, recording how many of them were luxury-related. I also collected the number of luxury-related posts that appeared on the social media pages.
A total of 38 posts linked to luxury goods have appeared on this social media page in these two days.
I have clicked and viewed a total of 40 posts on this social media in the last two days and a 15 of these post were associated with luxury goods.
I also collected the number of luxury-related posts that appeared on the social media pages (not all of the posts that appeared on the pages were clicked and viewed by me).A total of 38 posts linked to luxury goods have appeared on this social media page in these two days.
