Sketching at meadows. I draw the state of the tree or shrub I was noticing. I have also topiaryed some of the surface grain of the trunk. And then I made it into a meadows book of trees. The pictures in the booklet tell me simply and directly that in winter there are few trees or shrubs in the meadows, so perhaps if I wanted to do research on the meadows I could make a book of trees of the meadows at different times of the year and in different seasons, just as Monet did with the water lilies and straw bales. It would probably be a good botanical reference on the area.
