The third exhibition is the free exhibition section of TATE morden and a retrospective of the work of MARIA BARTUSZOVÁ.
MARIA BARTUSZOVÁ creates sculptures in which plaster is filled into balloons to give them a fragile texture, and also partly by making balloons burst, creating shapes that resemble cocoons and bird's nests. She defines the world of sculpture in her own way.
In her artworks, I experienced an alternate side of plaster. Previously, I only saw it as rigid, yet she transformed it into something soft and fragile feeling using a distinct technique. This taught me that a single material can communicate varied messages based on its manipulation.
